SWEDEN - The third Swedish national pension fund AP3 may tender for two US active equity briefs as early as as Q1, 2002.
One of the strategies being considered by the fund is the outsourcing of a US small-cap and a US medium-cap brief.
Currently Merrill Lynch Investment Managers oversees the fund's SKr19bn passive US equity brief.
The size of any new mandates has not yet been determined.
The move will be considered at the beginning of next year.
