UK - Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) has announced that Merrill Lynch Property Fund, with its 20 year track record of investment in UK commercial property has moved offshore to Jersey.
The £867m pooled investment vehicle was originally set up in 1982 as an in-house property fund and was opened to all UK exempt investors in 1998.
From 6 April, access to the fund will no longer be restricted to UK exempt investors.
Ian Mason, managing director, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, said: Moving offshore is a great opportunity as it offers a wider audience the chance to invest in one of the UK’s top performing property funds.
