Sun Life Financial has signed a deal with Morningstar Research that will give its Canadian customers, pension funds and members access to Morningstar's web and PC-based products.
The partnership, which is expected to start on June 1, will see Morningstar products being launched over the coming months for Sun Life Group Retirement Services Division, Sun Life Securities Inc. and Sun Life Financial Advisory Services.
As part of the partnership deal Morningstar's Institutional Data Analytics Service (MIDAS) will be available to pension fund sponsors. Midas will allow plan sponsors' to monitor the Group Retirement Services' fund database. Also, plan sponsors can register to receive Morningstar alerts if certain changes take place in any fund.
