UGANDA - David Chandi Jamwa, formerly MD of D Craven Consulting, has been appointed MD of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
Selected by finance minister Ezra Suruma, Jamwa’s role is effective as of this month. He is also a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, the ICPAU Disciplinary Committee, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and The National Association of Stockbrokers and Dealers of Uganda.
In addition, Mondo Kagonyera was chosen as Jamwa’s deputy. Formerly a minister within the office of the prime minister, Kagonyera was said to bring with him “a wealth of experience in public administration.”
Former home secretary Amber Rudd is to return to the cabinet as work and pensions secretary after the resignation of Esther McVey.
