UK - Michael Amey is to join PIMCO as senior vice-president, UK fixed income.
Reporting to Emanuele Ravano, executive vice president and head of portfolio management in London, Amey will be the UK lead bond portfolio manager and will oversee the development of UK and European investment strategy.
Prior to joining PIMCO, Amey worked at Insight and Rothschild Asset Management for 9 years, where he was promoted to head of UK fixed income at the end of 2000.
Commenting on the appointment, Emanuele Ravano said: Hiring Michael reinforces our commitment to build a top quality UK and Pan European fixed income team.
He is well known to major pension plans and consultants as an accomplished portfolio manager and complements PIMCO's talented team in London.
