UK - Aegon Asset Management UK has appointed Colin McLatchie as its new managing director (MD), with effect from January 1, 2002.
McLatchie is currently chief operating officer at Aegon Asset Management, a position he has held since joining the company in January 1999.
Over the past three years he has worked closely with current MD, Russell Hogan, to develop the firm’s presence in the institutional, retail and insured markets.
Before joining Aegon, McLatchie ran the European units of PanAgora Asset Management, and before that Wells Fargo Nikko (which later became Barclays Global Investors).
Hogan is to remain with Aegon UK in an advisory capacity for a short time before leaving the group in early 2002.
