US - Five asset managers have been shortlisted by the $6.2bn Louisiana State Employees Retirement System (LASERS) for a $180m emerging market equity mandate.
The shortlisted candidates are State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), Schroder Investment Management, The Boston Company Asset Management (TBCAM), Alliance Bernstein and Franklin Templeton.
Chief investment officer for LASERS, Robert Borden, said that the fund expects to make an appointment in November.
New England Pension Consultants' Peter Gerlings is assisting the fund with the selection process.
