Edinburgh Fund Managers has appointed Alan Murray as a derivative fund manager.
Murray, who joins Edinburgh from Scottish Life, will have joint fund management responsibilities for all derivative funds including the Edinburgh Safety First, The Bank of Bermuda All Points Index Funds and the Edinburgh Global Protected Range. He will also advise on derivative overlay strategies, as well as developing new products and markets.
Prior to joining Edinburgh, Murray spent 10 years at Scottish Life. Last year he was marketing actuary in a product development role, concentrating on life and investment markets. Previously, Murray had overall responsibility for derivatives, a role he took on in 1997. Earlier in his career, Murray was an investment manager, working on the gilts, Japanese and UK equity desks.
