European investment house F&C Management has appointed two new investment managers to its global equity desk.
Henrik Gjerning joins the team as a director covering global financial companies. Gjerning will manage the F&C global services fund launched last year, in addition to other global equity products. He joins from Tilney Fund Managers where he was also director, responsible for European fund management.
Niall Kirk has been appointed assistant director. He will cover the global healthcare sector, including biotech companies. Kirk will also manage a number of F&C’s fund products that are open to European investors, and will aid the future development of similar products. Prior to joining F&C, Kirk was with Commerzbank as a healthcare analyst. The recent appointments follow a total of six other hires to the investment management team since October 2000.
