GLOBAL - US venture capitalist Conduit Venture has invested in fledgling UK technology firm CMR Fuel Cells.
Conduit joined forces with UK venture capitalist Carbon Trust to lead an undisclosed investment in CMR, an offshoot of the technology consulting, development and investment group Generics.
Fuel cell technology is tipped to replace lithiumion batteries which are commonly used in laptop computers and mobile phones and the CMR deal is part of a major move by Conduit to invest in the sector.
