AUSTRALIA / UK - Institutional fund manager, QIC, has invested in the Henderson Global Investors' Global Equity Multi-Strategy fund.
With a target volatility of 10 per cent per annum, the portfolio uses four strategies for alpha generation and leverages off the investment processes of the existing regional multi-strategy funds operating in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
The fund is part of Henderson’s US$3bn single manager hedge fund range spread across 14 hedge funds which are split into four pillars, such as long short directional equity; and equity multi-strategy.
Richard Clarke, Henderson associate director, said the firm welcomed QIC’s investment as part of its international equity programme.
