Aon Consulting has appointed Hymans Robertson's Alan Bartlett as the new head of manager research, in the firm's investment practice.
Bartlett, who held the same post at Hymans, will move back to London to take up his role at Aon. He will work alongside David Hoile, head of global equities, Ben Fox, head of bond research and Martyn Dorey, head of quantitative research.
George Henshilwood, senior partner in Hymans investment practice, said that Bartlett had been instrumental in developing the firm's manager research process and that they were very sorry to lose him.
Hymans has moved immediately to fill the gap caused by Bartlett's departure. Henshilwood has assumed the role of acting head of manager research, whilst Clare Gardner and Vince McEntegart will join the firm’s manager review group, the committee with overall responsibility for reviewing manager grades. Gardner and McEntegart will also increase the proportion of their time spent on manager research over the next year.
