UK - Consuelo Brooke, former head of the European specialist equity team at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, has joined global equity fund manager Philippe Investment Management as a director and member of its investment committee.
Brooke will be based in London where she has established a new investment management firm, C Brooke Investment Partners (CBIP).
CBIP will act as the adviser to PIM’s existing European small and mid-cap funds and for mandates for segregated accounts from US and European institutional clients.
The firm will also manage the new Dublin-based fund, Philippe European Opportunities Fund, aimed at institutional investors.
Between 1987-2001, Brooke established and led a team of European equity specialists at Mercury Asset Management, subsequently acquired by Merrill Lynch.
The team managed over US$6bn for US and other international institutional clients.
