AUSTRALIA - The Future Fund has hired Pinnacle Property Group co-founder Barry Brakey as investment director of private markets.
He is also a member of the Property Council Capital Markets Roundtable Executive Committee, sits on various fund advisory committees and is a councillor on the Australian Property Institute's National Council, having previously been national president.
David Neal, chief investment officer at the Future Fund, said Brakey's expertise in the property sector was a great asset to the Future Fund.
The announcement comes after the appointment of Raphael Arndt in December, also as investment director, private markets.
Neal said: "Following our other recent appointments, we have a highly experienced investment leadership team in place combining deep sector knowledge with a broad investment perspective."
Brakey will provide consulting support to the Future Fund until he formally joins the organisation on 1 April 2008.
