US - Organizer Systems has launched ‘InvesTier' - an accounting software product aimed at alternative investment firms.
‘InvesTier’ is the “only turnkey accounting and reporting solution created specifically for hedge funds-of-funds,” according to the firm.
The offering addresses valuation pricing; fee calculations; reallocations; reporting, using a web-based turnkey (ASP) model that allows users to log in via the Internet or a private extranet.
Other features include:
- automation of the total valuation process, allowing a firm to restate pricing numerous times, automatically creating journal transactions, even for a firm that invests its own funds into its own funds, creating both sets of transactions - for the fund that is investing and for the fund in which the investment is made – while calculating all fees for all entities, reopening prior periods, rolling all calculations forward and reclosing;
- allowing a firm to set up all types of fee structures and commission or selling agent payouts, including both front and back-end loads, via a point and click interface and to track changes to calculations across accounting periods;
- reporting capabilities for tax, regulatory, investor and ad-hoc reporting by embedding Crystal Reports, a professional report-writer, right into the InvesTier workbench, offering dozens of pre-formatted reports as well as allowing the user to enhance or create their own reports, utilising the same reporting tool.
