EUROPE - Robert Hau has joined Investec Asset Management as director of business development Europe.
Hau has joined Investec from Bank of Ireland Asset Management, where he was head of continental Europe, managing the Frankfurt office and responsible for raising assets in different European countries, specifically in the global and European equity and bond sectors.
In his new role, Hau will look to increase institutional and mutual fund business in Europe.
More specifically, he will sell Investec products and services into Germany, Austria and other parts of Europe, particularly targeting Investec’s pooled products at portfolio managers, fund of fund managers, and multi-managers,
He will also develop Investec’s business with local pension fund consultants and directly with the European pension funds.
Investec has also announced the appointment Nigel Hankin to its Global Equity team as a specialist in the services sector.
