SWEDEN - The SEK152bn (e16.6bn) Tredje AP-fonden (AP3) has hired Anders Olsson as its head of equities, marking the last of a series of appointments to the fund's new executive management team.
Olsson, who has more than 15 years experience in the equity market, joins AP3 from Nordea’s financial institutions division where, from 2001 to 2004, he was responsible for the management of Nordea’s European equity hedge fund and international fund.
In his new capacity, Olsson will report to head of asset management Kerim Kaskal, who joined AP3 from Brummer & Partners on December 1.
The date on which Olsson will take up his new position is yet to be decided.
AP3’s CEO Kerstin Hessius announced the fund’s new executive management team, made up of current AP3 staff and three new recruits, last month. At the time, the fund was still in the process of recruiting the head of equities.
Olsson was not available for comment at the time of going to press.
