US - The Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) has hired EFL Associates to conduct a national search for a new CIO after Robert Woodard resigned to join West Gate Horizons in Los Angeles.
Glenn Deck, executive director at the system, said: “The search process has just started. We expect to fill the position sometime in early 2006.”
Woodard officially left end October to join the West Gate, a new business entity associated with Met West Asset Management.
Deputy CIO Scott Peppard is acting CIO in the interim. In an official statement, the board said it appreciated Woodard’s “outstanding leadership of the investment function over the last nine years” and wished him well in his new position.
