GLOBAL - Energy and transport engineering firm ALSTOM has appointed Hewitt Associates as a global actuary and pension strategy consultant.
Hewitt will advise the company in Sweden and Switzerland, and is now the preferred actuary to all of ALSTOM's US pension and post-retirement medical plans,
Hewitt has advised ALSTOM for four years in the UK, and will now be corporate adviser for the company’s £1.4bn UK pension fund, which currently has 27 000 members.
As part of the extended remit, Hewitt will also conduct a full benefit review and help set up a new defined contribution pension scheme in the UK.
