UK/NETHERLANDS - Private equity manager Stirling Square Capital Partners has bought a controlling stake in Dutch packaging manufacturer Schoeller Wavin Systems for e145m (£101.3m).
Stirling Square bought the firm after the Scholler family – which owns SWS – decided it needed to raise cash for other ventures, while at the same time, minority shareholder JP Morgan Partners decided that it wanted to exit.
PwC, KPMG, EY and Deloitte must break up their consultancy and audit businesses into distinct firms to provide greater focus on the "most challenging and objective audits", the competition watchdog has said.
