SOUTH AFRICA - Neil Armstrong, group benefits manager at the R70m ($7.6m) Consol Group Pension Fund, is to retire at the end of December this year.
Armstrong joined Consol 16 years ago as human resource manager, a title that was stretched to include that of principal officer of the Consol Group Pension Scheme.
After resigning from Consol in August 1999, Armstrong returned months later to address the alleged misadministration by the benefits manager who succeeded him.
Armstrong will be replaced by Karen Kanjee from Standard Bank.
