UK/EUROPE - Gartmore has hired Gary Clarke as a senior investment manager to its European equities team.
Previously, he worked for Rothschild Asset Management where he was appointed in September 2001 to help steer their European equity funds. At Gartmore his primary focus will be their high alpha funds, where he will work alongside Ann Steele, who runs the pan-European Focus Fund.

Clarke’s arrival follows the recent arrivals of Richard Wilson from Deutsche Asset Management and David Thompson from Credit Suisse First Boston.
