UK - Baring Asset Management has announced its third appointment in two weeks, with Paul Wimborne joining as global emerging markets portfolio manager.
Wimborne, who will arrive from Insight Investments in the autumn, is the latest in a growing list of key appointments by Barings, which includes James Syme from Société Générale and Matthias Siller from Raiffeisen Capital Management.
In his new role, Wimborne will report to Syme, who also joins in the autumn, and together they will manage the global emerging markets, emerging opportunities and Latin America funds.
The slew of appointments at Barings came about after the firm lost a number of key staff to Resolution Asset Management’s emerging markets investment boutique.
