US - Allianz Dresdner Asset Management (ADAM), the fund management arm of German group Allianz, has hired John Maney as its new chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Maney joins the firm from Apria Healthcare, where he was chief financial officer. Prior to Apria, he was a partner with Arthur Andersen in Orange County. He will report to David Flattum, ADAM America managing director and head of corporate functions.
Maney replaces Robert Fitzgerald who has been chief financial officer of Allianz's Pimco Advisors subsidiary since 1994, will stay on as a consultant into 2002 to oversee the transition. According to ADAM, Fitzgerald is leaving the firm to spend more time with his family and pursue personal interests.
