EUROPE - The first review of the Kempen/SNS Smaller Europe SRI Index shows increasing interest in socially responsible investment compliance among small-cap companies.
The index is the first to track performance of SRI smaller companies and has a further 105 companies pending assessment for inclusion.
During the 12 months to December 31, Kempen calculated that the index would have grown by 29.9% outperforming the Dow Jones Sustainability Index – the standard benchmark for SRI large companies – which increased by 15.4%.
