US - Kristi Mitchem, ex-Goldman Sachs managing director and head of North American transition services has left to join Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco.
At BGI Mitchem will report to Francis Enderle, managing director and CIO, Global Index and Markets Group at BGI.
“Kristi will be establishing BGI’s presence in the transition market place and helping the firm capitalise on opportunities as we grow this business,” said a BGI spokesman in San Francisco.
Mitchem joins BGI on 1 September.
At Goldman Sachs Mitchem was also head the equity products group and responsible for the equity derivatives business on the west coast.
