UK - Insight Investment has raised £260m for its Insight Foundation Property Trust Fund from schemes, institutional and retail investors.
Insight said the outcome had exceeded its targets, and that aside from raising £260m in equity from investors, it had raised £33m in debt.
The fund – which will invest in a range of commercial properties – already holds 64 properties with an average capital value of about £4.4m.
Insight hopes to eventually raise £400m for the fund which, it says, will make it one of the largest listed property investment trusts in the UK.
Insight managing director, property, Duncan Owen said: “We are delighted to have received such a strong response to this opportunity. The positive investor interest reflects the high quality of the fund and the confidence in Insight Investment. The success of the offer is a great step.”
