UK - The £13bn Barclays Bank UK Retirement Fund has appointed five firms to private equity.
A spokesman for the bank said the fund was increasing its private equity exposure from 2% of the fund to 4% over the next two to three years. It has just committed to ABRY, Blackstone, Candover, Coller Capital and Harbourvest.
The spokesman declined to reveal further details but added that a further seven or eight commitments will be made this year.
