UK - Winton Capital Management, the London-based alternative fund manager, has appointed Boris Afanasiev to its statistical research team.
Previously, Afanasiev served as European market intelligence manager for Mars UK Masterfoods.
Separately, Winton posted a 12-month gain of 39.7% in its flagship programme, the Winton Futures Fund.
Since its inception in 1997, the firm claims to have yielded consistently positive returns, delivering average annual returns of over 20%.
The firm also joins in S&P Managed Futures Index, which now comprises 14 managers.
