UK - Peter Scales has joined EPIC Investment Advisers' (EIA) investment panel, having worked most recently as CEO of the £3.6bn London Pensions Fund Authority.
EIA advises pension schemes, managers and sponsors about investment related issues, and Scales said of his appointment:
"By joining EIA, I will be putting the knowledge and experience I have gained of Local Government Pension Funds into practical use and I will link with my fellow EIA Panel members in seeking to improve best practice in the provision of investment advice."
EIA chief executive Christopher Edge said public sector pension schemes were “a key focus area” for the firm, and highlighted extra-financial risk as an increasingly important area where pension schemes and their trustees should take notice in relation to their investment decisions.
