US - JPMorgan Chase has named Robert Garcia as vice- president and team leader of its new cross-border products group, based in Houston.
Garcia's appointment coincides with the consolidation of three teams responsible for providing international expertise to the firm’s commercial banking clients throughout the US.
He reports to Jackie Kaiko, senior vice president.
Commenting on the appointment, Kaiko said: Increasingly, our clients are seeking our counsel on international issues from buying, selling or manufacturing overseas to managing foreign currency.”
Garcia succeeds Bob Blades who served as leader for the Texas trade sales and service team since 1992. Blades will now return to the international client management group.
