UK/US - Simon Melluish is now senior portfolio manager for Gartmore's flagship Total Return Mutual Fund.
Melluish succeeds Charles Bath, and will also be responsible for the Gartmore Nationwide Leaders Mutual Fund.
He joined Gartmore as an investment manager on the global portfolio team in 1995, overseeing the US market. He has been head of US equities since July 2000.
In addition to several institutional funds, Melluish and his team - Nick Ford, Simon Moss and Ben Walker - manage hedge- and retail funds including the American Focus Fund and the Capital Strategy North America Fund.
