UK/EUROPE - PIMCO Europe Ltd has appointed David Viana and Tom Rice to high profile positions on its management team.
Viana, who joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, will take up the position of vice president, risk and compliance manager and Rice, who joins from the Investment Management Association, has been appointed vice president European Legal Counsel.
Managing director and head of PIMCO Europe, Joe McDevitt said: “Viana and Rice bring the highest calibre of additional compliance and legal expertise to our team. We are delighted to have them on board.
“Over the past 12 months we have been expanding all aspects of our business with key hires to our portfolio and account management teams. With the appointments of David and Tom we are building up PIMCO’s legal and compliance capabilities in Europe, demonstrating commitment and providing support for PIMCO’s continued growth in this region.”
PIMCO Europe has £13.4bn assets under management and PIMCO is the fixed income platform of Allianz Group. Globally, the company manages more than £217bn.
