The EUR400m (£242m) Origin pension fund in the Netherlands has awarded four specialist mandates to State Street Global Advisors, Lombard Odier, Capital International and Frank Russell Company.
Lombard Odier was awarded a EUR50m (£30m) fixed income mandate, Capital International a EUR50m (£30m) equity mandate, Frank Russell a EUR30m (£18m) mandate and State Street a EUR10m (£6m) long/short mandate.
Utrecht-based Origin is a former IT subsidiary of Phillips. The issuing of the mandates is seen as part of a strategy to create a more diversified and specialist regime for the company’s European portfolio. These changes were implemented following an asset liability modelling study.
