Mansco Perry, III is leaving his CIO role at The Maryland State Retirement and Pension System (MSRPS) to join the endowment fund of Macalester College as CIO in Minnesota at the end of this month. Perry joined MSRPS in 2008 and since then has established a currency management programme, diversified the system's passive investment management and led the Terra Maria programme which expanded the system's emerging manager's allocation. Prior to MSRPS, Perry was assistant executive director and deputy CIO of the Minnesota State Board of Investment.

Principal Global Investors has hired Philip Garcia as head of client relationship management in London. Garcia will manage client relationships and the client service team in Europe and will report to Nick Lyster, European chief executive officer. Garcia joins from T. Rowe Price where he was director of client service for the EMEA region.
Lombard Odier Investment Managers has hired Marc Bataillon and his team from Selectium Europe. Bataillon will manage European equities in London reporting to Aziz Nahas, chief investment officer (CIO) at the firm. Previously, Bataillon managed long/short Western European equities for seven years. Joining him from Selectium will be senior analyst Cyril Marquaire and risk and operations manager Arnaud Mallet.
Ronan Walsh has joined ConvergEx Group as vice president of the global transition management team. He will be based in Sydney and cover transition management services across Asia and Australia. Walsh joins from Russell Investment Management and Citigroup Global Markets.
F&C Investments has appointed Randeep Grewal and Sam Cosh as senior fund managers in its European equity team. Both will report to Paras Anand, head of European equities. Grewal will develop absolute return strategies within the team and Cosh will oversee the F&C European Small Cap and European Assets Trust alongside Anand.
Grewal, a former vascular surgeon, joins F&C from ICAP Equities where he was managing director and analyst. Cosh comes across from BNP Investment Partners where he was senior portfolio manager in the pan-European small cap team.
Cordea Savills has appointed Richard James as chief financial officer. He joins from Internos where he oversaw group financial management and debt, compliance, insurance and IT teams in his role as CFO from 2009. Justin O'Connor, Chief Executive Officer of Cordea Savills said: "Richard has extensive experience in fund management across the field of finance, debt and operations. He will be a highly valued member of our executive and will play a critical role in our expansion plans."
Angus Duncan has been appointed director of sales at Inalytics, where he will oversee sales to asset management clients. Duncan is working under Rick Di Mascio, chief executive officer and founder of Inalytics. Prior to Inalytics, Duncan was head of distribution at Invest & Give. Before that, he held the same title at Smith & Williamson Investment Management.
