Friday Buzz: Does the pensions industry have a problem with women?

clock

This week Pensions Buzz looks at women in pensions. Find out if the industry thinks there are enough women on trustee boards, and whether quotas are needed.

The numbers were pretty decisive on the question of whether trustee boards lacked gender diversity.

Respondent were also unequivocal over whether boards could properly represent members if they did not have a balance of men and women.

The question of whether decision making would benefit from a greater input from female trustees split respondents more equally, however.

There was also debate over whether schemes should encourage more women to put themselves forward to be trustees, and the best way to achieve this.

Gender quotas, however, were firmly rejected.
