John Lewis scheme deficit rises to £479m

The John Lewis Partnership Pension Trust has seen its accounting deficit rise by 16% to £479m in the first half of the year.

John Lewis' interim financial statements, issued today, showed the fund's liabilities had increased by £145m to £3bn while the value of its assets had risen by £80m to £2.5bn on an IAS19 basis. ...
