Bulk annuity business value falls 15% in 2012 but number of deals increases

Total bulk annuity business in by the end of 2012 was £4.4bn, compared to £5.2bn in 2011, Aon Hewitt research shows.

The consultancy said the figures were distorted by two large buyout deals at the end of 2011, which were T&N, worth £1.1bn (PP Online 25 October 2011) and Uniq, worth £830m (12 December 2011). T...
