PPF 7800 deficit up to £118bn

The deficit of schemes in the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) 7800 Index increased from £112.3bn to £118.2bn in May.

The average funding ratio for the 6,150 schemes on the index fell from 91.9% to 90.8%. Total assets were £1,170.8bn and total liabilities were £1,289bn. There were 4,348 schemes in deficit and 1...
