DB schemes continue to show 'significant surplus', PwC finds

UK defined benefit (DB) pension schemes continue to show “significant surplus”, reaching new record funding levels in October, according to PwC.

The firm's Buyout Index recorded a surplus of £330m last month with surpluses remaining above the estimated cost for buyout. PwC revealed the funding ratio of the UK's 5,000 corporate DB schemes...
