London office opens
Brown Advisory has opened a London office in a bid to expand its UK and European client base.
The Baltimore-based specialist US equities fund manager said the office would be managed by Logie Fitzwilliams.
Fitzwilliams said: “We are excited to be gaining momentum in the UK market as investors become comfortable with our team and collaborative investment process. With a physical presence in the UK we will be favourably positioned to build on our existing base of business.”
In 2006, Brown Advisory introduced its portfolio to UK clients through a Dublin-based UCITS vehicle. The fund, managed by Richard Bernstein, Brown Advisory’s senior US value equity portfolio manager, mirrors the $1.2bn (£600m) portfolio offered to US clients.
