THE Pensions Regulator has published a guidance to help trustees better utilise the expertise advisers and service providers can bring to pension schemes.
The watchdog’s guidance – Relations with Advisors – outlines key issues trustees should take into account when appointing a new advisors, or when reviewing the performance of an exciting advisor.
The regulator said the guidance could also be used to get the best service from current advisors.
It said it was important for trustees to understand their specific tasks within the running of the scheme and how each advisor contributed to different aspects of governance.
