Can property provide an effective inflation hedge?

A recent paper by the Man dynamic allocation fund (DNA) team, Man AHL and Professor Campbell Harvey of Duke University, The Best Strategies for Inflationary Times, looked at the long-term historical relationship between a number of assets classes and inflation.
