UK - Engineering group FKI is having to increase contributions into its pension scheme to plug an FRS17 deficit that has increased tenfold in the last year.
The DB scheme’s deficit rose to £126.1m in March compared to a deficit of £12.3m in 2002. Yearly contributions into the scheme will increase from the current sum of £14m to £19m next year.
