Pensions and Benefits UK: Three days left to register

clock

There are just three days left to register for Pensions and Benefits UK, which will be held on 20-21 May at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in the heart of Westminster.

The conference will help you learn from both your peers and experts from across the industry - and include sessions covering the budget and charging reforms as well as all the latest thinking on topics including risk reduction, defined contribution and trustee issues.

Tickets to the event are FREE for individuals with direct responsibility for an organisation's pension and benefits scheme.

The full programme can be found here.

The conference will include keynote sessions from:

- Steve Webb, pensions minister
- Dame Anne Begg, chairwoman of the Work and Pensions Select Committee
- Stephen Soper, interim chief executive, The Pensions Regulator (TPR)
- Gregg McClymont, shadow pensions minister
- Robert Stheeman, chief executive, UK Debt Management Office
- Nick Sherry, former Australian senator and minister for superannuation
- Alvin Hall, independent financial expert and TV presenter

It will also include an investment leaders panel - chaired by former BBC economics editor Stephanie Flanders, which will discuss the key investment challenges for the coming year.

In addition to this, speakers will include Pension Protection Fund chief executive Alan Rubenstein; TPR head of DC regulatory policy Phil Yeoman; and The Money Advice Service chief executive Caroline Rookes.

The conference will also include a range of case studies to help you learn from your peers.

As well as the speakers, the conference will feature a debate on women in pensions, which will ask if trustee boards lack gender diversity and whether scheme decision making would benefit from having more female input.

It will include ‘Murder on the Pensions Express: Who killed pensions?', our debate in full period costume, loosely based on the novel by Agatha Christie.

And don't forget - if you have entered the Pension Scheme of the Year Awards - we will be delighted to see you at the drinks reception at the House of Commons on the first night of the conference.
