PPF says unchanged funding ratio 'masks' challenging month as surpluses drop

The Pensions Protection Fund (PPF) says the aggregate surplus of the 5,131 schemes in the PPF 7800 Index decreased during October by £5.5bn to £441.5bn from £446.9bn the month prior.

The lifeboat fund's latest update also showed there was a total of 4,658 schemes in surplus at the end of the month and 473 schemes in deficit - adding the deficit of the schemes in deficit grew ma...
