Gartmore has hired the former director of the finance team at Credit Suisse Asset Management, Keith Starling, as financial controller.
Reporting to the chief financial officer Mark Robertshaw, Starling will be responsible for managing the key financial activities of Gartmore, which includes management accounting, group and statutory reporting, payments and settlement, accounting systems and treasury issues.
Prior to his time at CSAM, Starling was part of the finance team at Mercury Asset Management.
Robertshaw said: “ His experience and understanding of the asset management industry combined with his technical expertise will be invaluable to Gartmore as we drive to develop our financial and management information capabilities within the company.”
