Third party administrators Mellon Trust UK & Ireland - part of Mellon Corporation - has made three senior hires in a bid to promote European business growth.
David Dobinson joins as head of fund accounting, responsible for accounting operations and ensuring high client service levels. He joins from United Assurance where he was investment operations manager.
Andy Tamlyn joins Mellon as head of the firm’s recently launched defined contribution (DC) pensions operations. Prior to his new position he worked at US fund services group BISYS as operations director. Before that he spent 25 years with Prudential, where his last position was operations director of its collective investments business.
John Maguire joins as chief operating officer, Dublin with responsibility for the offshore fund accounting and transfer agency businesses in Ireland. Most recently he was general manager of Clydesdale Trustee & Custodial Services.
Richard Godfrey, acting managing director of Mellon Trust UK & Ireland added: “We were at a stage in our development where we needed to enhance our organisation with some seasoned industry professionals.”

The government is in talks with the UK and Irish pensions regulators over how to protect members of cross-border schemes in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
