Gartmore has lured Michael Gleason from Putnam Investments in the US to fill the post of senior quantitative analyst.
Gleason will be responsible for enhancing the use of Gartmore’s quantitative techniques and will report to Richard Urwin, head of strategic research.
Gleason will leave his quantitative analyst post at Putnam’s Boston office to take up his new post in London at the end of June. His role at Putnam included responsibility for developing global quantitative stock selection models and analytics. Prior to this, Gleason was a principal in a research Centre at State Street Global Advisors.
