EUROPE - First State Investments has appointed Danny Latham as head of infrastructure investment for Europe.
Latham is currently the director of RREEF Infrastructure based in London, with responsibilities for portfolio management, asset management and asset acquisition.
His appointment follows the firm's launch of its European Diversified Infrastructure Fund in May for institutional investors.
Stephen Vineburg, global head of infrastructure investment at First State Investments, said: “In the past 12 months, we have been sending a very clear message to the market that infrastructure is an important asset class to our investors and we intend to be at the forefront of opportunities to develop products to meet investor demand”.
The announcements follows a number of high profile appointments at the firm in the last couple of months including, Stephen Vineburg as head of infrastructure investment and Perry Clausen as head of infrastructure investment, Australia.
